Jill Patterson

American Jill is the 2019 GFNY World Champion. As a USAC level 2 and power certified coach, Jill loves to share with her athletes her training process and everything she has learned and experienced first-hand over the years. 
 
If you are looking to be coached by a GFNY World Champion, Jill is your coach.
 
Jill began racing when she was living and working in Japan. She joined a Japanese women’s team and with them did races throughout Japan and also several UCI stage races (China, Thailand, US). After returning to the US in 2016, Jill discovered Gran Fondo and fell in love with the spirit and challenge of these longer races composed of mixed fields. She did her first GFNY New York in 2018, placed second, and with focused training she was able to accomplish her goal of placing first in 2019.

Antonio Oliveros

Whether you are a newbie rider and facing your first endurance event or have logged lots of miles but like to set your new PR, Antonio is here to help you get to the next level.

Fluent in Spanish and English, Antonio from Mexico is a passionate and curious athlete and coach, enjoying everything sports has given to him. He is eager to share his experience with you. 

Ben Braem

Ben from Belgium has been an endurance sports coach for 20 years. 
 
If you are looking to combine cycling and running a marathon, Ben is your coach.
 
Ben coaches athletes for cycling, marathon and triathlon. He speaks English, French and Dutch.

Mauricio Rodriguez Estrada

Whether you are starting or already have a competitive level, Mauricio can help you reach your GFNY Cycling or Running goals.

If you look for a Spanish or English speaker focused on number analysis, planning and personalized monitoring, Mauricio is your coach. 

Mauricio has 10 years of experience in triathlon and cycling. He’s a USA Cycling and USA Triathlon Certified Coach. 

Marcia Barrios

Road or MTB, Marcia Barrios has experience of over a decade as an athlete and coach.

If you are looking for a native Spanish speaker, Marcia is your coach.

Marcia uses TrainingPeaks, has coached athletes from across LatAm and Europe and is currently finishing her Road Cycling certificate at the Sports and Life Institute of Spain.

Israel Tong

Israel Tong Gatty is a cycling coach with over 10 years of experience as a coach and more than 30 years as a competitive cyclist, specializing in developing athletes from the early stages to the highest level. He holds international certifications and a TrainingPeaks Level 2 and WK05 license, which support his advanced academic training and expertise in performance planning and analysis. He has guided numerous Peruvian cyclists to national championship titles across all categories and various disciplines.

If your goal is to compete and stand out in a GFNY, improve your performance, or transform your body and mind through cycling, Israel is the ideal coach to take you to the next level. His personalized approach and proven experience make him the perfect ally for Spanish-speaking cyclists who are determined to give it their all.

In addition, Israel has strong expertise in strength training, allowing him to design comprehensive programs that include targeted muscle fiber work to enhance strength, endurance, and recovery, key elements for facing demanding competitions such as a GFNY.

Stefan Kirchmair

As a certified coach and team manager, Stefan helps athletes reach the next level with personalized training and expert guidance, combining scientific methods with firsthand race experience from his 20-year cycling career.

If you're looking for a coach with pro-level expertise who speaks both German and English, Stefan is the right choice.

Starting in professional road racing, he later shifted his focus to granfondos, winning many major events. Still competing at the highest level, he knows what it takes to succeed.

Rubens Bertogliati

Rubens Bertogliati, a former professional cyclist from Switzerland, brings a wealth of experience from his 12-year racing career, including wearing the yellow jersey in the 2002 Tour de France after a stage victory. Rubens has seamlessly transitioned from an accomplished racing career to a respected coach and sports director.

Following his retirement, Rubens took on key roles as a directeur sportif and trainer in top-tier professional teams, including UAE Team Emirates, where he contributed to the development of elite riders. Alongside his work with WorldTour athletes, Bertogliati has always maintained a strong commitment to coaching cyclists across all categories—from juniors to masters—helping them refine their skills, optimize their training, and achieve their competitive goals.
